I've been underwhelmed and unimpressed by magazine covers as of late. But I have to say, I am quite blown away by Elle UK's October cover.
Not only is Kate Hudson a beautiful woman, but the makeup is absolutely GORGEOUS! According to Susan Dowsett, the makeup artist that created this look, the Elle team wanted a "modern take on an 80's makeup" and she definitely achieved it.
The combination of purples and silvers are bold but still wearable, especially when paired with a pale pink lip. Add to that the voluminous curls and dark nail varnish and you've got one STUNNING cover issue.
