BathTime Diaries: Lush - Waving Not Drowning Bath Bomb

Waving Not Drowning is said to be "good for insomnia," because of its sleep inducing ingredients. Namely: lavender, ylang ylang, cardamom, and fennel.

Personally, my insomnia is a bit more severe than what a bath bomb can help with, but I can't deny that the bath itself was pleasurable. It smells wonderful and you can really feel the essential oils on your skin when you dip in.

Like Lush's other bath bombs, this doesn't give you much bubbling action (if any), so if that's what you want, this bath bomb is definitely not for you. Instead, try out their bubble bars, which are also fab!

I purchased Waving Not Drowning because I wanted to try it out, though I can't say I'll re-purchase it again. Although I just might so I can "cocktail" it with Lush's A French Kiss bubble bar (which also contains lavender) to see what kind of experience that will be.

BathTime Diaries: Lush - Floating Island Bath Melt & Butterball Bath Bomb

As the weather's gotten progressively colder, I found myself wanting to take more baths. A few nights ago, I treated myself to a combination of Lush's Floating Island Bath Melt and Butterball Bath Bomb.

I have to say, I really love this combination. Butterball is known to be Lush's most moisturizing bath bomb; now pair that with a bath melt and you've got yourself one fabulous bath!

As you can see, there isn't really anything special about how these products look in the bath. There are minimal bubbles, there are no funky colours, no confetti... What's truly special about these two is how it makes your skin feel afterwards: incredibly moisturized. In fact, I only really need to apply lotion on my drier areas (i.e. elbows, knees, etc).

And I can't forget the scent. These two smell sooo delicious! Butterball smells like cocoa butter and Floating Island smells like vanilla. YUMMY!

BathTime Diaries: Volume 1 - Lush Dorothy Bubble Bar

I bought this around 6 months ago so the colour's faded a bit.

I love taking borderline hot baths and since the weather's getting cooler, I thought it would be fine to start taking baths again. 

For my first Fall bath, I decided on Lush's Dorothy bubble bar (it smells like one of my fave Lush soaps, Figs and Leaves). As I mentioned, I've had this bubble bar for 6 months and the blue part was originally much more vivid. I was concerned that the product wouldn't produce enough bubbles or the scent wouldn't be as strong because I've had it for a while (not to mention it survived a bit of a heatwave). However, my worries were unnecessary because as you can see in the photo above, there were still plenty of bubbles and it still smelled divine.

The water itself felt so amazingly silky and moisturizing, which I wasn't expecting from a bubble bar. However, you will need to moisturize afterwards as it doesn't actually moisturize your skin. Which is fine, because I think applying body products after a nice bath just prolongs the feeling of being pampered.

I absolutely adore this body butter. Firstly, I love that it's solid. Secondly, it smells so wonderful (shea butter). It contains "cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut butter, bananas, toning essential oils, almond oils, fresh avocado, and oatmeal;" It's so incredibly moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft and smooth. 

I prefer a slight tackiness in my moisturizers (including face moisturizers) because it makes me feel like it's more moisturizing. I hate when I apply some lotion and it sinks in so fast that I feel like I need to reapply every so often. The fact that it doesn't happen with this body butter at all combined with it's delicious scent (I'm a sucker for vanilla/shea butter scents) makes this product an absolute must-have for me.
